    BACKGROUND: The proportion of patients with low GH response to provocative tests increases with the number of other pituitary hormone deficiencies, reason why in panhypopituitary patients GH stimulation tests may be unnecessary to diagnose GH deficiency (GHD) PURPOSE: To re-evaluate the diagnostic cut-offs of GH response to GHRH + arginine (ARG) test related to BMI, considering the patients\' pituitary function as the gold standard for the diagnosis of GHD.
    METHODS: The GH responses to GHRH + ARG were studied in 358 patients with history of hypothalamic-pituitary disease. GHD was defined by the presence of at least 3 other pituitary deficits (n = 223), while a preserved somatotropic function was defined by the lack of other pituitary deficits and an IGF-I SDS ≥ 0 (n = 135). The cut-off with the best sensitivity (SE) and specificity (SP), was identified for each BMI category using the ROC curve analysis. To avoid over-diagnosis of GHD we subsequently searched for the cut-offs with a SP ≥ 95%.
    RESULTS: The best GH cut-off was 8.0 μg/l (SE 95%, SP 100%) in lean, 7.0 μg/l (SE 97.3%, SP 82.8%) in overweight, and 2.8 μg/l (SE 84.3%, SP 91.7%) in obese subjects. The cut-off with a SP ≥ 95% was 2.6 μg/l (SE 68.5%, SP 96.6%) in overweight and 1.75 μg/l (SE 70.0%, SP 97.2%) in obese subjects.
    CONCLUSIONS: This is the first study that evaluates the diagnostic cut-offs of GH response to GHRH + ARG related to BMI using a clinical definition of GHD as gold standard. Our results suggest that with this new approach, the GHRH + ARG cut-offs should be revised to avoid GHD over-diagnosis.

    OBJECTIVE: Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a hereditary condition which affects the composition and structure of enamel in terms of hypoplasia and/or hypomineralization. The condition severely affects patients facing such difficulties as hypersensibility, loss of tooth substance and poor aesthetics. The objective is to perform a systematic review of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in patients with amelogenesis imperfecta.
    METHODS: Inclusion criteria were articles written in English, including PROMs from patients with amelogenesis imperfecta. The databases PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science were searched on April 27, 2022, and eligible articles were screened. Exclusion criteria were articles based on proxy reports and single case reports.
    RESULTS: 405 studies were screened in terms of title and abstract, with 31 articles eligible for full-text screening, resulting in a total of 11 articles eligible for inclusion, (articles including 4-82 patients). The content was analyzed, resulting in the outcome divided into seven domains: Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL), Dental fear, Esthetics, Psychosocial factors, Function, Dental hypersensitivity, and Treatment outcome.
    CONCLUSIONS: The limited quantity of research on PROMS from patients with AI indicates a significant impact of OHRQoL and daily life. A large variety of approaches have been presented in the articles. Patients report concerns of esthetics, hypersensitivity, function, and a general impact on well-being and social interaction. This highlights the importance for the need of early dental treatment.

    Flexible pressure sensors are attracting great interest from researchers and are widely applied in various new electronic equipment because of their distinct characteristics with high flexibility, high sensitivity, and light weight; examples include electronic skin (E-skin) and wearable flexible sensing devices. This review summarizes the research progress of flexible pressure sensors, including three kinds of transduction mechanisms and their respective research developments, and applications in the fields of E-skin and wearable devices. Furthermore, the challenges and development trends of E-skin and wearable flexible sensors are also briefly discussed. Challenges of developing high extensibility, high sensitivity, and flexible multi-function equipment still exist at present. Exploring new sensing mechanisms, seeking new functional materials, and developing novel integration technology of flexible devices will be the key directions in the sensors field in future.

    This review appraises the process of development and the measurement properties of the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), gauging its potential as a screening tool for sleep dysfunction in non-clinical and clinical samples; it also compares non-clinical and clinical populations in terms of PSQI scores. MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, and HAPI databases were searched. Critical appraisal of studies of measurement properties was performed using COSMIN. Of 37 reviewed studies, 22 examined construct validity, 19 - known-group validity, 15 - internal consistency, and three - test-retest reliability. Study quality ranged from poor to excellent, with the majority designated fair. Internal consistency, based on Cronbach\'s alpha, was good. Discrepancies were observed in factor analytic studies. In non-clinical and clinical samples with known differences in sleep quality, the PSQI global scores and all subscale scores, with the exception of sleep disturbance, differed significantly. The best evidence synthesis for the PSQI showed strong reliability and validity, and moderate structural validity in a variety of samples, suggesting the tool fulfills its intended utility. A taxonometric analysis can contribute to better understanding of sleep dysfunction as either a dichotomous or continuous construct.
