    UNASSIGNED: Numerous studies have investigated the relationship between gut microbiota (GM) and multiple sclerosis(MS), highlighting the significant role of GM in MS. However, there is a lack of systematic Scientometric analyses published in this specific research area to provide an overall understanding of the current research status.
    UNASSIGNED: Perform a scientometric analysis on research conducted between 2010 and 2023 concerning the link between GM and MS using quantitative and visual analysis software (CiteSpace and VOSviewer.).
    UNASSIGNED: From January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2023, a total of 1019 records about GM and MS were retrieved. The number of publications exhibited a consistent upward trend annually. The United States led in publications, showed the strongest level of collaboration among countries. The University of California, San Francisco stands as the top institution in terms of output, and the most prolific and cited authors were Lloyd H. Kasper and Javier Ochoa-Reparaz from the USA. The research in this field primarily centers on investigating the alterations and associations of GM in MS or EAE, the molecular immunological mechanisms, and the potential of GM-based interventions to provide beneficial effects in MS or EAE. The Keywords co-occurrence network reveals five primary research directions in this field. The most frequently occurring keywords are inflammation, probiotics, diet, dysbiosis, and tryptophan. In recent years, neurodegeneration and neuropsychiatric disorders have been prominent, indicating that the investigation of the mechanisms and practical applications of GM in MS has emerged as a current research focus. Moreover, GM research is progressively extending into the realm of neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases, potentially becoming future research hotspots.
    UNASSIGNED: This study revealed a data-driven systematic comprehension of research in the field of GM in MS over the past 13 years, highlighted noteworthy research within the field, provided us with a clear understanding of the current research status and future trends, providing a valuable reference for researchers venturing into this domain.

As we progressed through time, the significance of this cluster continued to grow, eventually becoming a crucial component in the motor theme during the last period.     BACKGROUND: Digital health research plays a vital role in advancing equitable health care. The diversity of research teams is thereby instrumental in capturing societal challenges, increasing productivity, and reducing bias in algorithms. Despite its importance, the gender distribution within digital health authorship remains largely unexplored.
    OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the gender distribution among first and last authors in digital health research, thereby identifying predicting factors of female authorship.
    METHODS: This bibliometric analysis examined the gender distribution across 59,980 publications from 1999 to 2023, spanning 42 digital health journals indexed in the Web of Science. To identify strategies ensuring equality in research, a detailed comparison of gender representation in JMIR journals was conducted within the field, as well as against a matched sample. Two-tailed Welch 2-sample t tests, Wilcoxon rank sum tests, and chi-square tests were used to assess differences. In addition, odds ratios were calculated to identify predictors of female authorship.
    RESULTS: The analysis revealed that 37% of first authors and 30% of last authors in digital health were female. JMIR journals demonstrated a higher representation, with 49% of first authors and 38% of last authors being female, yielding odds ratios of 1.96 (95% CI 1.90-2.03; P<.001) and 1.78 (95% CI 1.71-1.84; P<.001), respectively. Since 2008, JMIR journals have consistently featured a greater proportion of female first authors than male counterparts. Other factors that predicted female authorship included having female authors in other relevant positions and gender discordance, given the higher rate of male last authors in the field.
    CONCLUSIONS: There was an evident shift toward gender parity across publications in digital health, particularly from the publisher JMIR Publications. The specialized focus of its sister journals, equitable editorial policies, and transparency in the review process might contribute to these achievements. Further research is imperative to establish causality, enabling the replication of these successful strategies across other scientific fields to bridge the gender gap in digital health effectively.

    UNASSIGNED: The present study conducts a retrospective bibliometric analysis to examine the quantifiable and qualitative evolution of the concept of tolerance to ambiguity (TA) over time. Additionally, a scientometric analysis using quantitative methods on scientific measurements and trends aims to profile and identify the concept, as well as its development in research themes. The relevance of this study is underscored by the growing interest and development of research on TA, particularly in fields like entrepreneurship where psychological factors are significant.
    UNASSIGNED: The research includes highly relevant literature, such as Budner and Frenkel-Brunswick, which define TA as a predisposition to perceive ambiguous situations as desirable and as a personality variable centered on the emotional and perceptual domain, respectively. Data was obtained from the eight indices comprising the main Web of Science collection, covering research from 1975 to December 2022. A total of 378 articles were identified.

    This study presents a scientometric analysis of the intersection between rehabilitation science and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, using data from the Web of Science (WOS) database from 2002 to 2022. The analysis employed a comprehensive search query with key AI-related terms, focusing on a wide range of publications in rehabilitation science. Utilizing the Citespace tool, the study visualizes and quantifies the relationships between key terms, identifies research trends, and assesses the impact of AI technologies in rehabilitation science. Findings reveal a significant increase in AI-related research in this field, particularly from 2017 onwards, peaking in 2021. The United States has been a leading contributor, followed by countries like England, Australia, Germany, and Canada. Major institutional contributions come from Harvard University and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth System of Higher Education, among others. A keyword co-occurrence network constructed through Citespace identifies nine distinct hot topics and various research frontiers, highlighting evolving focus areas within the field. Burst analysis of keywords indicates a shift from performance and injury-related research to an increasing emphasis on AI and deep learning in recent years. The study also predicts the potential impact of papers, spotlighting works by Kunze KN and others as significantly influencing future research directions. Additionally, it examines the evolution of knowledge bases in AI-related rehabilitation science research, revealing a multidisciplinary core that includes neurology, rehabilitation, and ophthalmology, extending to complementary fields such as medicine and social sciences. This scientometric analysis provides a comprehensive overview of AI\'s application in rehabilitation science, offering insights into its evolution, impact, and emerging trends over the past two decades. The findings suggest strategic directions for future research, policy-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration in rehabilitation science and AI.

    UNASSIGNED: This study presents a global research scenario in the broad domain of osteoarthritis (OA) research, using quantitative and qualitative publication and citation indicators.
    UNASSIGNED: The study is based on 45,368 global publications, sourced from the Scopus bibliographical database, covering three decades (1994-2023). We studied the performance of the top 12 developed and top 12 developing countries. The key countries, organizations and authors at national and international levels were identified. The broad subject areas and key journals contributing to global OA research were delineated, besides identifying the broad characteristics of highly cited papers in the field.
    UNASSIGNED: The United States and China were the most productive countries, while the Netherlands and Canada made the largest citation impact. Harvard Medical School and the University of Sydney made the most contribution, while Boston University and Pfizer Inc., USA registered the highest citation impact. Hunter DJ and Guermazi A were the most productive authors, while Lohmander LS, and Hochberg MC registered the highest citation impact. Osteoarthritis and Cartilage (n = 4879) and Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases (n = 786) published the maximum papers, while Arthritis and Rheumatism and Nature Reviews Rheumatology registered the largest citation impact. The highly cited papers with 100 or more citations constituted 6.25% of the total publications.
    UNASSIGNED: There has been a systematic growth of publications on OA. The research on OA was mainly done in developed countries, with the maximum publications coming from the United States of America, China and Canada. The most impactful publications on OA were from the Netherlands, Canada and the United States of America.

    BACKGROUND: Since its establishment in 1999, the journal of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research (CIDRR) has consistently disseminated notable clinical and translational research within the domain of oral implantology. As the journal approaches its milestone 25th anniversary, this study endeavors to systematically delineate the publication trends, level of evidence, and bibliometric indices characterizing the initial quarter-century of CIDRR\'s scholarly activity. Notably, the investigation adopts a contemporary methodology by incorporating Altmetric analysis, thereby enriching the evaluation with an assessment of the broader societal and online impact of the published research.
    METHODS: A comprehensive search was performed in SCOPUS and PubMed to access the bibliographic data of all articles published in the journal from 1999 to 2024. Additionally, Altmetric database was used to obtain social media attention scores (AAS). Journal\'s overall performance via impact factor and quartile range was assessed. Most cited papers were identified and the most prolific authors, institutions and countries and the collaboration networks among those were assessed. The level of evidence of all articles was determined based on Oxford level of evidence scale. All articles were categorized based on their major topic in the field of implant dentistry.
    RESULTS: Throughout its first 25 years of activity, CIDRR published 1912 articles with an annual growth rate of 2.67% and consistently being ranked at Q1 quartile in \"Dentistry (miscellaneous)\" and \"Oral Surgery\" journal categories. When clinical studies are considered, level I and II evidence constituted 22.82% and 11.82% of all articles, respectively. Sweden, the USA, and Italy as well as Göteborgs Universitet, Sahlgrenska Akademin. and Malmö Högskola were the most prolific countries and institutions respectively. \"Implant system/design/characteristics,\" \"Bone Augmentation,\" and \"Implant Prosthesis\" were the top most investigated topics.
    CONCLUSIONS: The examination of the journal\'s initial 25 years highlighted that CIDRR has surpassed similar dental research journals in publishing a greater number of high-level evidence articles. It also showcased diverse country- and author-collaboration networks. However, the journal\'s social media presence is still evolving. This article, presenting a comprehensive overview of the journal\'s scientometric and bibliographic activities, serves as a valuable reference for researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders, offering insights into both traditional and contemporary perspectives.

    OBJECTIVE: The primary goal of this study was to assess the growth, most influential articles, countries, journals, authors, and papers published in the field of global oral cancer. Research articles on oral cancer, published between 1989 and 2022, were identified through the Web of Science database to achieve this.
    METHODS: A comprehensive dataset comprising 7,178 documents was meticulously extracted from the Web of Science, forming the basis for scientometric analysis. A refined subset of 4,901 documents was judiciously selected following a rigorous screening process for meticulous, in-depth analysis.
    RESULTS: The field has witnessed a remarkable publication surge, with the United States taking the lead in productivity. The journal Oral Oncology has become the foremost publication, renowned for its prolific output and widespread citation. This trend highlights the growing importance and interest in this domain, with researchers and experts worldwide contributing to the expanding body of knowledge. The United States\' dominance in productivity suggests its strong commitment to advancing research in the field, while Oral Oncology\'s recognition underscores its influential role in disseminating cutting-edge findings and fostering scientific progress.

    Otitis media is a common health problem affecting people of all ages and significantly impacting public health and healthcare costs. Otitis media, a type of middle ear disease, is one of the most common types. This scientometric study aimed to provide an overview of the knowledge domain in otitis media research. Documents were retrieved from the Web of Science database. A scientometric study was then performed on a sample of 27,213 documents. This study found that research on otitis media has increased significantly in recent years, with an annual growth rate of 4.58%. The average age of the documents analyzed was 18 years, with an average of 21.88 citations and an average of 4.58 authors. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan ranked first to third in terms of number of publications. Still, the United States, China, and Sweden were in a better position in terms of impact on the research network. Co-occurrence word analysis showed that significant attention was given to topics such as chronic inflammation in autism, acute inflammation in otitis media, and increased fluid in the middle ear. This study highlights the need to prioritize and focus attention on otitis, particularly otitis media, due to its prevalence and impact on public health. The use of scientometric software, such as Biblioshiny and CiteSpace, provides a valuable means of assessing research trends and identifying important areas for future study in the field of knowledge.
