UNASSIGNED: Online communities promote social connection and can be used for formal peer support and crisis intervention. Although some communities have programs to support their members\' mental health, few programs have been formally evaluated. The authors present findings from a mixed-methods evaluation of the Stack Up Overwatch Program (StOP), a digital peer support intervention delivered in an online gaming community.
UNASSIGNED: Data were collected from members of the Stack Up Discord server between June and October 2020 and included chat messages, survey responses, encounter forms (documenting information from private interactions between users and peer supporters), and interviews with peer support team members. The authors analyzed data on demographic characteristics, mental health and crises, use of and experiences with StOP, and chat posts. Thematic analysis and descriptive statistics were combined in a joint display table, with mixed-methods findings explained in narrative form.
UNASSIGNED: The findings show that StOP provides users in crisis with a source of mental health support when other options have been exhausted and that military and veteran users valued the connections and friendships they formed while using it. Participants reported that StOP met needs for support and connection when formal services were inaccessible or did not meet their needs, and volunteer peer supporters detailed how StOP\'s design facilitates use of the intervention. Volunteering offered members of the peer support team a \"family feeling\" facilitated by the unique chat room structure.
UNASSIGNED: Community-based crisis prevention programs administered through chat rooms may provide valuable support to both users and peer support providers.

In the last decade, the market share and user base of social media applications have witnessed significant growth. However, this surge in popularity has inadvertently drawn the attention of criminals aiming to exploit these platforms for illicit activities. The forensic examination of these applications emerges as a pivotal avenue for uncovering valuable insights into criminal behavior and identifying suspects. Discord, a social media platform, has become a significant focal point for such illicit activities. In this paper, we examine the remnants of Discord on both Windows and Linux operating systems, employing storage, memory, and network analysis techniques to review the remnants of Discord. Our investigation reveals a range of crucial artifacts that have been successfully recovered across all three areas of analysis, including login and payment details, chat history, account information, and much more. Collectively, these artifacts constitute a valuable resource for forensic investigations, allowing the reconstruction of most of the user\'s activity.

OBJECTIVE: To develop and employ machine learning (ML) algorithms to analyse electrocardiograms (ECGs) for the diagnosis of cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN).
METHODS: We used motif and discord extraction techniques, alongside long short-term memory networks, to analyse 12-lead, 10-s ECG tracings to detect CAN in patients with diabetes. The performance of these methods with the support vector machine classification model was evaluated using 10-fold cross validation with the following metrics: accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score, and area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve (AUC).
RESULTS: Among 205 patients (mean age 54 ± 17 years, 54% female), 100 were diagnosed with CAN, including 38 with definite or severe CAN (dsCAN) and 62 with early CAN (eCAN). The best model performance for dsCAN classification was achieved using both motifs and discords, with an accuracy of 0.92, an F1 score of 0.92, a recall at 0.94, a precision of 0.91, and an excellent AUC of 0.93 (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.91-0.94). For the detection of any stage of CAN, the approach combining motifs and discords yielded the best results, with an accuracy of 0.65, F1 score of 0.68, a recall of 0.75, a precision of 0.68, and an AUC of 0.68 (95% CI 0.54-0.81).
CONCLUSIONS: Our study highlights the potential of using ML techniques, particularly motifs and discords, to effectively detect dsCAN in patients with diabetes. This approach could be applied in large-scale screening of CAN, particularly to identify definite/severe CAN where cardiovascular risk factor modification may be initiated.

Discord is an instant messaging platform that facilitates voice and video calls and media exchanges. Although Discord was initially developed for video gaming, it is currently used by other communities where voice chatting is frequent. Here, Discord is described as a useful tool in the science classroom. We implemented Discord in several biology labs and classes and gained experience using it as a professor (AW) and as both a teaching assistant and a student (SS). In this Discord-enhanced learning space, students seemed to be more engaged with the subject material, their peers, and their instructors in comparison with a more traditional physical classroom and an entirely online classroom. In addition, real-time communication was augmented in a physical lab or classroom by Discord\'s interconnectivity. Discord facilitated real-time peer and instructor discussion and provided opportunities for group interaction outside conventional science teaching spaces. These increased connections also extended to the lab setting, both in and out of scheduled class time, providing a space to build community within and between groups and between students and instructors. Introducing Discord to a physical classroom or using it for an online class provided us with opportunities for a more engaged and active student, and they found it may lead to greater productivity and learning.

We propose the first correct special-purpose quantum circuits for preparation of Bell diagonal states (BDS), and implement them on the IBM Quantum computer, characterizing and testing complex aspects of their quantum correlations in the full parameter space. Among the circuits proposed, one involves only two quantum bits but requires adapted quantum tomography routines handling classical bits in parallel. The entire class of Bell diagonal states is generated, and several characteristic indicators, namely entanglement of formation and concurrence, CHSH non-locality, steering and discord, are experimentally evaluated over the full parameter space and compared with theory. As a by-product of this work, we also find a remarkable general inequality between \"quantum discord\" and \"asymmetric relative entropy of discord\": the former never exceeds the latter. We also prove that for all BDS the two coincide.

UNASSIGNED: COVID-19 is a significant threat to people\'s mental health and social well-being. The research examined the effects of social determinants of health on COVID-19 related stress, family\'s stress and discord, and personal diagnosis of COVID-19.
UNASSIGNED: In November 2020, the data collection was conducted from 97 counties in North Carolina (N = 1500). Adult residents in North Carolina completed an online COVID-19 impact survey conducted using quota-based sampling on race, income, and county to provide a rapid quasi-representative assessment of COVID impact. The study investigated the variables in a structural model through structural equation modeling. For data analysis, IBM SPSS 26 and AMOS 27 were deployed.
UNASSIGNED: Social determinants of health had direct effects on COVID-19 related stress (β = 0.66, p < 0.001, r 2 = 0.43), family\'s stress and discord (β = 0.73, p < 0.001, r 2 = 0.53), and personal diagnosis of COVID-19 (β = 0.52, p < 0.001, r 2 = 0.27). These findings indicate that underserved populations experienced higher stress and discord at both individual and family levels and more severe COVID-19 symptoms. Moreover, black participants, whose family income and food access declined significantly more, had worse stress, discord, and COVID-19 symptoms than white participants.
UNASSIGNED: The study suggests that the government and health professionals enhance mental health and family support service accessibility for underprivileged populations through telehealth and community health programs to prevent associated social and health issues such as suicide, violence, and cancer.

Traditional mental health services are often not enough to meet the needs of people at risk for suicide, especially in populations where help-seeking is stigmatized. Stack Up, a non-profit veteran organization whose goal is to use video games to bring veterans together, recognized a need in its gaming-focused online community and created the Overwatch Program. This suicide prevention and crisis intervention program is delivered entirely through the Internet by trained community members through Discord text and voice chat. By combining aspects of virtual gaming communities, veteran mental health, and community-based peer support, this program provides an innovative format for implementing crisis intervention and mental health support programs. We describe here the context and features of the program, an ongoing evaluation project, and lessons learned.

We study the classical and quantum correlations in the minimum error discrimination (ME) of two non-orthogonal pure quantum states. In particular, we consider quantum discord, thermal discord and entropy generation. We show that ME allows one to reach the accessible information between the two involved parties, Alice and Bob, in the discrimination process. We determine the amount of quantum discord that is consumed in the ME and show that the entropy generation is, in general, higher than the thermal discord. However, in certain cases the entropy generation is very close to thermal discord, which indicates that, in these cases, the process generates the least possible entropy. Moreover, we also study the ME process as a thermodynamic cycle and we show that it is in agreement with the second law of thermodynamics. Finally, we study the relation between the accessible information and the optimum success probability in ME.

The discord within nursing regarding the definition of nursing science has created great angst, particularly for those who view nursing science as a body of knowledge derived from theories specific to its unique concerns. The purpose of this brief article is to suggest a perspective and process grounded in appreciation of wholeness that may offer a way forward for proponents of a unitary-transformative nursing science that transcends the discord. This way forward is guided by principles of fostering dissent without contempt, generating a well-imagined future, and garnering appreciatively inspired action for change.

There are interwoven personal, professional and organisational relationships to be navigated in maternity in all regions. In rural regions relationships are integral to safe maternity care. Yet there is a paucity of research on how relationships influence safety and nurture satisfying experiences for rural maternity care providers and mothers and families in these regions. This paper draws attention to how these relationships matter.
This research is informed by hermeneutic phenomenology drawing on Heidegger and Gadamer. Thirteen participants were recruited via purposeful sampling and asked to share their experiences of rural maternity care in recorded unstructured in-depth interviews. Participants were women and health care providers living and working in rural regions. Recordings were transcribed and data interpretively analysed until a plausible and trustworthy thematic pattern emerged.
Throughout the data the relational nature of rural living surfaced as an interweaving tapestry of connectivity. Relationships in rural maternity are revealed in myriad ways: for some optimal relationships, for others feeling isolated, living with discord and professional disharmony. Professional misunderstandings undermine relationships. Rural maternity can become unsustainable and unsettling when relationships break down leading to unsafeness.
This study reveals how relationships are an important and vital aspect to the lived-experience of rural maternity care. Relationships are founded on mutual understanding and attuned to trust matter. These relationships are forged over time and keep childbirth safe and enable maternity care providers to work sustainably. Yet hidden unspoken pre-understandings of individuals and groups build tension in relationships leading to discord. Trust builds healthy rural communities of practice within which everyone can flourish, feel accepted, supported and safe. This is facilitated by collaborative learning activities and open respectful communication founded on what matters most (safe positive childbirth) whilst appreciating and acknowledging professional and personal differences.
