    Sustainable procurement has emerged as a crucial strategy to address environmental and social challenges while promoting responsible sourcing and procurement practices. This research presents a comprehensive scientometric analysis and visualization of 1044 publications from 1997 to July 2023 through a co-author, co-word, and co-citation analysis on sustainable procurement from the Scopus core collection database using VOSviewer and Gephi software. Prominent research areas include green procurement, sustainable procurement, sustainability, procurement, and supply chain. Leading institutions are the University of Southern Denmark, European Business School (EBS) University, Germany and the University of Louvain, Belgium, with the United Kingdom, United States, and China as citation leaders. The Top sustainable procurement outlets are the Journal of Cleaner Production, the International Journal of Production Economics, the Journal of Business Ethics, Sustainability, and Supply Chain Management. By providing a holistic overview of the sustainable procurement research landscape, this study contributes to evidence-based decision-making and fosters a collaborative approach towards achieving a more sustainable and socially responsible world essential for facilitating sustainability efforts. The findings serve as a foundation for future research and policy development, facilitating knowledge exchange and driving positive change in procurement practices.

    Organizational decisions and their motivations are crucial for successfully implementing sustainable sourcing practices (SSP). Still, there is scant research on how SSPs are impacted by corporate motives (CM). To fill this research gap, we formed a three-tiered stakeholder theory (ST) based paradigm that accounts for the moderating impact of regulatory pressure (RP) while examining the relationship between different types of corporate motives (instrumental, relational, and moral) and SSP. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine data collected from 248 respondents in the Pakistani manufacturing industry. The outputs of SEM disclosed that all CMs affect SSP. RP also confoundedly moderated these targeted relationships. Importance performance map analysis (IPMA) showed that regulatory pressure (0.319) and relational motives (67.38) are more important and perform better than all other exogenous variables. This study sheds light on corporate strategies and decision-making in multi ways. All dimensions of CM greatly enhance SSP directly and through RP, as RP firmly moderates these associations, indicating the relevance of ST. Finally, this empirical investigation ends with a framework of testable assertions and many future research endeavors on environmental sustainability.

    Palm oil, the most widely used vegetable oil, is one of the largest drivers of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from global land use and land cover change. Here, we provide fine-resolution (100 m × 100 m) estimates of GHG footprints of current (2015) and potential future scenarios (2030) of crude palm oil (CPO) production in Indonesia. The current estimated average GHG footprint excluding production on Java is 5.7 t CO2 eq t-1 CPO; ranging from 0.7 t CO2 eq t-1 CPO in Hulu Sungai Tengah, Kalimantan to 26.0 t CO2 eq t-1 CPO in Pontianak, Kalimantan, and these vast differences are only discernible at fine spatial scales. The future GHG footprint of Indonesian CPO could be reduced by 42% without compromising increased output by limiting expansion to non-forest and non-peat land. Our fine-scale analysis provides a spatial screening approach to inform new oil palm concessions and sourcing decisions, before more cost-intensive patch analysis and carbon stock assessments are conducted.

    Current discussions about the concept of nutritional sustainability show a high complexity of this topic leading to many different definitions. Regarding communication issues of nutritional sustainability between actors of food chains this complexity should be reduced. One opportunity to tackle these challenges of reducing complexity might be the concept of ingredient branding. Therefore, the aim of this mini-review is the identification of conditions for ingredient branding application as a communication strategy for nutritional sustainability which might overcome challenges in communicating the complexity between the different stakeholders of supply chains. In doing so, the specific case of agrifood chains is discussed based on the selected characteristics of globalization, increasing consumer demands, foods incorporating credence attributes and price. Along the agrifood chain, a sourcing strategy reflecting nutritional and sustainable aspects might lead to an ingredient branding strategy implying a brand policy for a special ingredient within the final product which is an important component but cannot be clearly recognized by the user. A \"nutritional sustainability inside\" strategy should reflect the multifaceted information along the agrifood chain and should be based on standardized criteria for nutritional sustainability.
