    Digital transformation has emerged as a key driver of high-quality enterprise development and an essential tool in forging an innovation-driven paradigm.Existing studies fail to delve into the specific mechanisms of their impact on firms\' innovation performance, and views on their impact are divergent. Some studies suggest that digital transformation can enhance innovation performance, while others point out that it may have negative impacts, and cannot clearly answer how big data capabilities and organisational agility play a role in the digital transformation process. Therefore, based on dynamic capability theory and systems engineering theory, this study adopts the logical framework of \"strategy-behaviour-performance\" to systematically explore the process of digital transformation that enhances firms\' innovation performance through the enhancement of big data capability and organisational agility. By empirically analysing the survey data of 476 manufacturing enterprises in China, the study reveals the chain-mediated effects of big data capability and organisational agility, and confirms the key roles of both in the transformation process. The findings suggest that digital transformation significantly improves firms\' innovation performance, and that the dual mediating effects of big data capability and organisational agility are important links in its influencing mechanism. These findings not only provide empirical support for the theoretical model of digital transformation, but also provide practical guidance for enterprises to formulate strategies and optimise resource allocation in the digital era. We suggest that enterprises should strengthen the cultivation of big data capabilities and organisational agility while promoting digital transformation to better adapt to and lead market changes.

    The definition of service has evolved from a focus on material value in manufacturing before the 2000s to a customer-centric value based on the significant growth of the service industry. Digital transformation has become essential for companies in the service industry due to the incorporation of digital technology through the Fourth Industrial Revolution and COVID-19. This study utilised Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformer (BERT) to analyse 3029 international patents related to the customer service industry and digital transformation registered between 2000 and 2022. Through topic modelling, this study identified 10 major topics in the customer service industry and analysed their yearly trends. Our findings show that as of 2022, the trend with the highest frequency is user-centric network service design, while cloud computing has experienced the steepest increase in the last five years. User-centric network services have been steadily developing since the inception of the Internet. Cloud computing is one of the key technologies being developed intensively in 2023 for the digital transformation of customer service. This study identifies time series trends of customer service industry patents and suggests the effectiveness of using BERTopic to predict future trends in technology.

    This study aims to fill a gap in our knowledge by analyzing how digital financing has affected technological innovation in China\'s firms across different growth phases. This article investigates the relationship between technological innovation efficiency and digital finance in China\'s A-share listed corporations between 2012 and 2022 using basic logistic modelling. Its main goal is to comprehend how digital finance affects these businesses\' technological innovation efficiency from various angles. The study concludes that digital finance significantly improves the efficiency of technological innovation; more importantly, the Digital Finance Adoption Rate (DFAR) has a more significant influence than the Digital Finance Level (DFL). According to the Digital Transformation Maturity (DTM) scale, digital finance helps businesses transform digitally, increasing the effectiveness of technological innovation. State-owned businesses are more affected by the influence of digital finance on innovation efficiency than non-state-owned businesses. Other factors, including enterprise lifecycle, innovation investment, digital leadership, revenue strategies, and market rivalry, also shape the relationship between digital finance and technical innovation efficiency. To increase innovation efficiency, particularly in state-owned businesses, the study suggests expanding access to and adoption of digital finance. It also means leveraging elements such as enterprise lifecycle, innovation investment, digital leadership, revenue strategies, and market competition to spur more technological innovation. The impact of digital finance on technological innovation at different phases of organizational growth in China highlights the need for customized methods to harness its potential.

    Pollution control and carbon emission reduction pose significant challenges for developing countries, and achieving synergistic reductions in pollution and carbon emissions (SRPCs) has emerged as the optimal choice. Digitization, a prevailing trend in the current era, presents new opportunities for realizing the SRPC. We utilize data from Chinese A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2022 to investigate the impact of corporate digital transformation on the SRPC. The research reveals the following. (1) Enterprise digital transformation significantly promotes the SRPC, a conclusion validated through a series of robustness tests. However, the SRPC resulting from digital transformation is characterized by weak synergy, which is primarily observed in the coordinated reduction in air pollution and carbon emissions. (2) This effect is notably stronger for companies near environmental regulatory authorities, those receiving government environmental subsidies, and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). (3) Enhancing managerial collaborative management capabilities, promoting corporate technological innovation capabilities, and alleviating financing pressure are the primary mechanisms at play. This research provides important policy and practical insights for promoting the SRPC in the context of digitization, fostering sustainable development.

    OBJECTIVE: Digital health behaviour change interventions may be adapted from in-person interventions, without appropriate consideration of how the digital context might differ. Drawing on the wider literature on behaviour change intervention development, this research aims to explore the digital adaptation process of health behaviour change interventions and the specific considerations for digital modes of delivery.
    METHODS: A qualitative interview study.
    METHODS: Interviews with 15 intervention developers/facilitators were analysed using inductive thematic analysis.
    RESULTS: Findings highlight a continuum of digitalization, where variation in technology available and human support influences considerations for digital adaptation. \'What vs how: \"trying to do the impossible\"\' describes the balance between retaining the intervention\'s active ingredients while modifying for digital delivery. Through \'Trial and error\', participants described an iterative process based on experience of delivery. \'Creating connection and engagement\' emphasizes the importance of social support and the challenges of replicating this.
    CONCLUSIONS: Several considerations for digital adaptations are proposed including the involvement of end-users (facilitators and recipients) during adaptation, the need to understand the original intervention and new context for use, and the different motivational needs of digital intervention recipients.

    With the advantages of new technologies and rising demand from customers, it is necessary to improve the manufacturing process. This necessity was recognized by the industry; therefore, the concept of Industry 4.0 has been implemented in various areas of manufacturing and services. The backbone and main aspect of Industry 4.0 is digitalization and the implementation of technologies into processes. While this concept helps manufacturers with the modernization and optimization of many attributes of the processes, Industry 5.0 takes a step further and brings importance to the human factor of industry practice, together with sustainability and resilience. The concept of Industry 5.0 contributes to the idea of creating a sustainable, prosperous, and human-friendly environment within companies. The main focus of the article is to analyze the existing literature regarding what is missing from the successful implementation of human centricity into industry practice, namely in small and medium-sized factories (SMEs). These findings are then presented in the form of requirements and barriers for the implementation of human centricity into SME factories, which can serve as guidelines for implementing human-centered manufacturing using axiomatic design theory in SMEs, which can serve as a roadmap for practitioners.

    BACKGROUND: German hospitals are legally obliged to implement digital patient portals within the next years. Systematic reviews show that the use of patient portals may be associated with improved patient-centeredness and workflows. However, mandatory digital healthcare innovations are sometimes not used by the target group as planned or even completely rejected. Based on Roger\'s theory of innovation diffusion, it can be assumed that the time factor is of particular importance for the adoption of the patient portal. The aim of the project is to assess determinants of patient portal adoption and to examine whether Roger\'s theory can be confirmed.
    METHODS: The project investigates the use of the patient portal in three different clinics of a large academic teaching hospital in Germany using a longitudinal study design with three cross-sectional time points (pre, post, post). Doctors and patients are surveyed about factors that predict the use of the patient portal and whether the strength of these factors changes over time. They are also interviewed about possible barriers they experience when using the patient portal or about the reasons why the patient portal is not used. Regression models and content analyses are used to answer the research questions.
    CONCLUSIONS: Determinants of patient portal use will be discussed under the light of the temporal component of Roger\'s theory. At the same time, it is expected that some determinants will remain unchanged over time. Identifying determinants independent of time allows targeting the groups, enabling specific communication strategies to empower these groups to use the patient portal, contributing to an equal health care system.
    BACKGROUND: The study was prospectively registered in the German register of clinical trials (DRKS00033125) in May 2024.

    UNASSIGNED: The world of work is changing and creating challenges and opportunities for the employment inclusion of young people with disabilities. In this article, the perceptions held by young adults with disabilities regarding participation in the future of work are examined.
    UNASSIGNED: One-on-one interviews were conducted with Canadian young adults (ages 18-36 years) living with a disability. Participants were asked about their thoughts regarding the impact of the changing nature of work on their labor market involvement and career aspirations. A thematic analysis was performed to identify and examine emergent salient themes.
    UNASSIGNED: In total, 22 young adults were interviewed; over half held secure employment. Career aspirations and work-related decisions were primarily shaped by a participant\'s health needs. The future of work was seen as a more proximal determinant to employment. Digital technologies were expected to impact working conditions and create barriers and facilitators to employment. Participants who indicated being securely employed held positive expectations regarding the impact of digital technology on their work. Participants working precariously held negative appraisals regarding the impact of digital technologies on employment opportunities. The role of technological and soft skills was critical to participating in a labor market reliant on advanced technology. Participants reported barriers to developing job skills related to their disability and their work arrangements.
    UNASSIGNED: This research highlights the importance of considering changes in the future of work, especially the digital transformation of the economy, in the design of initiatives which promote the employment inclusion of young adults with disabilities. Despite the significance of the changing nature of work, supporting health needs and encouraging access to secure work arrangements also remain paramount.

    Veterinary telemedicine is used to provide animal health care information, education, and care remotely. Digital transformation of veterinary clinics is a fundamental process for the evolution of telemedicine and is changing the way veterinary care and animal health services are delivered. This study aimed to evaluate the current televeterinary market and to assess the knowledge of animal owners and clinic managers. The goals of this study were met by conducting an analysis of the current televeterinary market through a pet owner (n = 200) survey as well as clinic owner (n = 5) interviews. In contrast to other countries, only 1.85% of Lithuanian veterinary clinics offered a paid veterinary remote consultation service on their websites. In addition, more than half of animal owners who participated in the survey did not even know that remote veterinary consultations existed. The most important established factors for the success of digital transformation of veterinary telemedicine were investments in the marketing of the services, management leadership, the competencies and experience of veterinarians, convenient working hours for the client, faster service availability, and lower price. It is recommended to involve marketing and information technology company professionals and to invest in the specialty, digital, and communication skills of veterinarians.
