    Maxillary labial frenectomy is a surgical procedure aimed at addressing midline diastema, where a strip of tissue creating a gap between two upper front teeth is removed. Typically, this strip extends from the vestibule of the gingivobuccal sulcus to the attached gingiva. The procedure is often performed using a diode laser, offering benefits including simplicity and safety for the patients. It can remarkably improve overall aesthetics and decrease the chances of gingival recession. This case report highlights the successful management of a female patient who arrived complaining of double frenum attachment leading to poor musculature support due to which she experiences poor aesthetics and hampered oral hygiene maintenance.

    In dentistry, denture stomatitis (DS), a frequent inflammatory illness of the oral mucosa mostly related to denture wearing, is a major concern. DS is a common oral mycotic infection for those who wear partial or total dentures. The most often found species of Candida that may be isolated from both healthy and diseased oral tissues is Candida albicans. DS is associated with uneven denture surfaces, inadequate oral hygiene, or ill-fitting dentures. The diagnosis and management of DS in a 72-year-old male patient is presented in this case study. The patient complained about burning in his palate and having difficulty chewing. Upon clinical examination, erythema and inflammation were seen in the palate region. The history and clinical findings were consistent with DS. The patient was told to completely stop using dentures. Interventions were included in the treatment plan, such as diode laser therapy, topical ozonated oil application, and teaching about denture hygiene. The third day\'s follow-up visit revealed a progressive healing of the lesions and symptom relief. The lesion fully resolved on the sixth day. This case emphasizes the value of all-encompassing management techniques in treating DS successfully. It also highlights the significance of patient education, good oral hygiene, and focused therapy in producing favorable results.

    This case report focuses on the clinical development of a 32-year-old female patient\'s lobular capillary hemangioma and provides valuable insights into the atypical nature of this tumor. Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) that follows diode laser intervention can be regarded as a novel and evidence-based approach to therapeutic management. The application of a diode laser causes the vascular elements that comprise the bulk of the lesion to coagulate, which in turn causes the lesion\'s size to decrease. The biological processes that lead to quick tissue regeneration are also activated by LLLT. The suggested therapeutic approach ensures that the patient will heal in the best possible way while also optimizing their comfort and safety. It extends beyond the mere removal of wounds. The case report demonstrates how well dual laser therapy works to lessen common postoperative issues that are commonly seen in traditional surgical therapies for lobular capillary hemangioma such as excessive bleeding and infection. The precise application of the diode laser minimizes damage to surrounding tissues, thereby enhancing the healing process. Additionally, following surgery, LLLT helps reduce pain and inflammation, which improves patient outcomes. The potential of diode laser and LLLT therapies for treating vascular lesions, including lobular capillary hemangioma, is evidenced by their therapeutic advantages. This encourages wider clinical applications and field research. The presented case report offers valuable clinical significance by highlighting an innovative therapeutic approach for lobular capillary hemangioma, a vascular lesion that can present challenges in management.

    Denture-induced fibrous hyperplasia (DIFH) is a persistent lesion caused by low-intensity chronic injury of the tissue in contact with an ill-fitting, over-extended denture. This fibrous connective tissue lesion commonly occurs in oral mucosa in patients showing important alveolar ridge atrophy. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice for DIFH. This article describes a successful laser surgery to remove a DIFH on a lower alveolar ridge of a patient wearing an ill-fitting completely removable denture. The use of a diode laser may result in less surgical time, less bleeding during surgery, more vestibular depth, better re-epithelialization of the wound, and no need for suturing.

    Background: Intentional replantation (IR) is an emerging and cost-effective last-resort treatment for persistent apical periodontitis. Adjunctive phototherapy for IR aims to improve the management of challenging cases by enhancing disinfection, stimulating healing and promoting regeneration. Objective: We report a novel phototherapy-assisted IR protocol conducted on a compromised lateral incisor with an extensive periapical infection (Ø > 10 mm) in a 68-year-old diabetic male. Methods: The IR protocol involved pre- and postoperative photobiomodulation (660 nm, 0.2 J/cm2, 60 sec/site), antimicrobial photodynamic therapy of the root surface (660 nm, 0.6 J/cm2, 30 sec, methylene blue photosensitizer), and Er:YAG root and socket debridement (2940 nm, 21 J/cm2, 30 sec). The total time from extraction to replantation was 14 min 35 sec. Results: The tooth at 3.5-year follow-up remained clinically functional with radiographic resolution of the infection indicating a successful reimplantation. Conclusions: This case report demonstrated that an adjunctive phototherapy IR protocol can effectively treat a compromised tooth with extensive periapical infection.

    The incidence of benign neoplasms is common in the oral cavity. Provisional diagnosis does not accurately identify rare neoplasms. With differential diagnosis of similar lesions and confirmation by histopathology, rare lesions can be identified. This case report also ended up to be a rare lesion of true fibroma in the palate through a histopathology report. Hence, the correlation of clinical findings to the confirmation with histopathology leads to a definitive diagnosis of uncommon lesions.

    Background/Objectives: Recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) is one of the most common oral mucosal lesions and a very debilitating lesion, especially in paediatric and adolescent patients. The current pharmacotherapy offers a pain relief but not without side effects, and therefore photobiomodulation (PBM) can be an alternative therapy. To the authors\' best knowledge, no published study has explored the efficacy of λ 980 nm laser PBM in the management of all RAS subtypes in paediatric and adolescent patients, and therefore, this prospective observational clinical study was conducted to bridge this gap by evaluating λ 980 nm laser PBM efficacy in symptomatic RAS management in paediatric and adolescent patients. The objectives were to evaluate (1) pain intensity alleviation; (2) wound healing rate; (3) wound size closure; (4) a complete resolution; (5) evidence of recurrence; and (6) patients\' treatment satisfaction. Methods: The study\'s variables were assessed at the following timepoints: T0: pre-treatment; T1: immediately after first PBM session; T2: 5 hours (h) post first PBM session (via telephone call); T3: immediately after second PBM session (three days post first PBM session); T4: three-day follow-up (after complete PBM treatments); T5: two-week follow-up; and T6: three-month follow-up. The following PBM dosimetry and treatment protocols were employed: λ 980 nm; 300 mW; 60 s; 18 J; CW; flattop beam profile of 1 cm2 spot size; 18 J/cm2; and twice-a-week irradiation (72 h interval). Results: At T1, significant immediate pain intensity relief was reported. 33.33% recorded \"4\" and 66.67% reported \"5\" on the quantitative numeric pain intensity scale (NPIS), and this continued to improve significantly (83.33%) at T2. All the subjects reported \"0\" on the NPIS at T3, T4, T5 and T6. There was a significant reduction in the lesion surface area (>50% complete healing) at T3 compared to T0. Complete healing (100%) with no evidence of scarring and lesion recurrence observed at T4, T5 and T6. Very good patients\' satisfaction was reported at all timepoints. Conclusions: This is the first report demonstrating λ980 nm efficacy in all RAS subtype management in paediatric and adolescent patients with a 3-month follow-up, whereby its PBM dosimetry and treatment protocols were effective from scientific and practical standpoints, and hence multicentre RCTs with large data are warranted to validate its reproducibility and to enrich the knowledge of PBM application in all RAS subtypes.

    Plexiform neurofibroma is a benign peripheral nerve sheath tumor known to be pathognomonic for neurofibromatosis type 1. However, solitary plexiform neurofibroma in the oral cavity is extremely rare. Herein, we presented a 73-year-old Saudi male with solitary plexiform neurofibroma located on the maxillary alveolar ridge, which was excised successfully using a 940 nm diode laser. Microscopic examination revealed a multinodular arrangement of benign spindle cells in a haphazard pattern. Immunohistochemical analysis showed positive staining for S100 and CD34 in the tumor cells.

    This case report presents the successful application of diode laser technology in the management of a pulp polyp in a primary molar, showcasing its efficacy in both excision of the proliferative tissue and subsequent canal disinfection. An eight-year-old patient with a symptomatic primary molar exhibiting a pulp polyp was selected for this intervention. The diode laser, with its specific wavelength and precise tissue interaction, allowed for a minimally invasive and efficient removal of the pulp polyp. Additionally, the laser was utilized for thorough disinfection of the root canals, targeting bacterial pathogens while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. The case was monitored over a three-month follow-up period, demonstrating favorable clinical and radiographic outcomes. This report emphasizes the potential of diode laser technology as a feasible adjunct in the treatment of pulp polyps in primary molars, showcasing its benefits in terms of reduced invasiveness, enhanced precision, and effective canal disinfection in pediatric endodontics.

The purpose of this paper is to present two case reports of ankyloglossia in pediatric patients of different ages, the diagnostic criteria, and the treatment decision rationale, which led to a lingual frenotomy performed with a diode laser.
