Considering that physical/emotional stress triggers TTS, it is plausible that stress related to SCAD, could result in the emergence of TTS. Conversely, it has been speculated that the junction between hypercontractile and akinetic/dyskinetic myocardium regions in TTS could lead to a "hinge pivoting point", imparting vascular disruption in coronary arteries, crossing these abutting myocardial planes, in susceptible individuals, causing SCAD.
