A large series of E. coli recombinant strains producing broad-spectrum β-lactamases was evaluated. While imipenem-relebactam showed a similar activity regardless of the PBP3 background, susceptibility to other molecules tested was affected at various levels. This was particularly the case for ceftazidime-avibactam, aztreonam-avibactam, and cefepime-taniborbactam.
