The past decade has dramatically increased electronic cigarettes or vapes in developing countries. However, there are no case reports describing vaping-induced acute pericarditis. This report describes a case of a 27-year-old male who presented with acute onset chest pain after using an electronic cigarette. His ECG showed typical pericarditis with diffuse ST-segment elevation and downsloping TP segment. The patient responded to the medical therapies of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and colchicine, but serum troponin T went up. In this case report, the authors have shared their opinions on how to handle this situation.
