AI technologies possess great potential to tackle some of mankind's most pressing problems, although much of what can be achieved is still a matter of imagination and critical discussion (e.g., AI might also be a source of harm). In the present short communication, we outline AI's potential for addressing several core issues in global mental health including its application in psychotherapeutic settings.
