This observation, and expertise with minimally invasive surgery for other indications in gynecologic oncology, has driven surgeons in the United States and other countries to perform an increasing portion of interval cytoreductive surgery using minimally invasive techniques. Further observational and trial data will continue to inform which patients are best suited for this approach.
