{Abstract}: The right to deep and continuous sedation maintained until death was introduced by the law known as the Claeys-Leonetti law. It is no longer a question of reversible sedation, but of maintaining the patient in a deep sleep, without waking, until death. It can be put into care in specific cases. The  borderline between euthanasia and this sedation implemented at the end of life lies in the intentionality of the medical act.
