When making a morphological (cytological, histological) diagnosis at the light-optical level before surgery, a differential morphological diagnosis was performed between cicatricial changes, the stromal component of the phyloid tumor and desmoid fibroma. Only immunohistochemistry allowed us to establish a diagnosis of desmoid fibroma, since tumor cells expressed diffusely SMA, focally desmin, and most importantly, ß-catenin expression was observed in some cells.
