These marker systems have different advantages and disadvantages, so it is imperative to keep in mind all the pros and cons of the technique while selecting one for the problem to be addressed. Here, we concisely introduced three molecular marker techniques, namely SSR, ISSR, and RFLP. We elaborated their properties such as reliability, simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and speed, in addition to data analysis of genetic diversity. We have outlined here the whole methodology of these techniques.
