{Abstract}: Successful sleep billing and reimbursement is dependent on correct reporting of proper diagnostic codes for sleep disorders and associated testing. Recent changes in disease classification systems have affected the coding for sleep disorders. Guidelines set forth by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and followed by third-party payers provide direction for the required techniques and indications for sleep procedures.
