Usually, the ectopic implants are located in the pelvis and manifest as dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain, or infertility. Pulmonary endometriosis sometimes occurs in the pleurae and can result in catamenial pneumothorax; however, true pulmonary endometriosis, tissue growing in the lung itself, is rare. We report a 22-year-old patient with pulmonary endometriosis and catamenial hemoptysis. Pulmonary endometriosis was proved histologically and treated successfully by wedge resection using video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.
