%X We investigated the effects of biochar and pyrolysis temperature on a chlorinated ethene-dechlorinating anaerobic consortium. Sequencing of nucleic acids from suspended and biochar-attached cells yielded 9 metagenomes, 122 metagenome-assembled genomes, and 18 metatranscriptomes that provide insights into the structure, function, activity, and interactions of the dehalogenating consortium with biochar.
