%X High-quality medical care and effective public health are impossible without adequate staffing. Modern medicine is subject to the trends of globalization and internationalization, like many other industries and spheres of the national economy, and today both doctors and nurses often provide medical care to foreign-speaking citizens: tourists, migrants, refugees, foreign students, etc. The article provides an overview of publications reflecting the importance of linguistic training and knowledge of foreign languages for medical professionals.
