It represents the cutaneous counterpart of the pleomorphic adenoma of salivary glands. Its clinical presentation often misguides the clinician to underdiagnose it as a reactive lesion. We report the case of a 94-year-old male admitted for excision of cutaneous carcinoma concurrently with a chondroid syringoma of the pinna provisionally misdiagnosed as a keloid.
