It is characterized by a failure of hematopoiesis. It is believed that approximately 65% of cases of acquired aplastic anemia are idiopathic. In a subset of cases, a drug or infection is the cause of bone marrow failure. This case report presents a 38-year-old patient with axial spondylarthritis who developed pancytopenia and was diagnosed with aplastic anemia during anti-TNF-α treatment.
