The conduction disturbance was recognized at the age of 6 and was asymptomatic. The professional disqualification from pacemaker implantation included a detailed history of a patient's symptoms, an echocardiographic assessment of the heart, exercise testing and ECG Holter monitoring. The aid of salbutamol administered orally was also useful.
