Despite oral hygiene efforts the lesion persisted for around one year. Radiology excluded bone involvement, and histopathology after excision confirmed a fibromatous epulis, which is characterized by collagen-rich connective tissue. There was no recurrence within one-year follow-up. Surgical removal proved to be efficient.
