Lack of pre-operative identification of this congenital malformation can lead to incomplete protection against thromboembolism or hemorrhage. We present a case of a 71-year-old male with a duplicated inferior vena cava who underwent insertion of bilateral inferior vena cava filters for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) management.
