%X Hayashi and colleagues developed a novel salvage technique using a cap-fitted ultrathin endoscope to cannulate the bile duct when a papilla concealed within a duodenal diverticulum is inaccessible with conventional methods. It can be a useful and safe option for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in patients with papillae hidden in duodenal diverticula.
