%X Persistent sciatic artery is a rare anatomic variation due to the lack of regression during fetal development, associated sometimes with abnormalities of the iliofemoral arterial axis and predisposing the patients to aneurysm formation and thromboembolism, which can compromise the limb. In our department, we assisted a 59-year-old male with an acute limb ischemia as result of an incidental finding of a thrombosed persistent sciatic artery aneurysm.
