%X Typhoid fever can have diverse extra-intestinal complications including encephalitis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, endocarditis, myocarditis, osteomyelitis, renal abscess, and splenic abscesses. Secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis with rhabdomyolysis is a rare complication of typhoid fever. Here, we present the case of an adolescent with typhoid fever complicated by rhabdomyolysis and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.
