Their prominence over parkinsonism prompted consideration of a syndromic diagnosis of myoclonus dystonia. ATP1α3 dysfunction in GABAergic neurons could explain these examination findings. The spectrum of ATP1A3-associated movement disorders includes myoclonus-dystonia.
