PHA makes a very small portion of primary liver tumors and conveys a poor prognosis. Symptomatology can be vague and often mimics primary hepatocellular carcinoma upon presentation. Diagnosis requires careful immunohistopathologic confirmation. We present a case of PHA in a patient with abdominal pain and suspected underlying cryptogenic cirrhosis.
