This multiprotein complex plays an important role in a variety of central nervous system (CNS) diseases and conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injury, among others. Here we describe methodological procedures to carry out immunoblotting and immunohistochemical techniques used to study inflammasome signaling in CNS tissues (brain and spinal cord).
