However, choroidal neovascularization can occur in these patients threatening their vision. We report the case of a 6-year-old girl with rubella retinopathy who developed a neovascular membrane and was successfully managed with observation. Decision to treat or observe in these patients must be carefully weighed, with both options being valid depending mainly on the location of the neovascular complex.
