Oral meningeal hamartomas are exceedingly rare with only two palatal cases described and none within a cleft palate or alveolus. These findings prompt a review of oral hamartomas with meningeal subclassification. Further discussion describes the relationship of the proposed origins of meningeal hamartomas within the setting of cleft palate development.
