Glycan epitopes are recognized by lectins, which are found, occasionally, to inhibit antigen-antibody reaction in a glycoform-specific manner (lectin inhibition). Here we describe the application of lectin inhibition to immunohistochemistry for visualizing a glycoform in a tissue section.
