We report a case of Rhino-orbital mucormycosis (Lichtheimia corymbifera) in an immunocompetent individual with history of consumption of Aluminium Phosphide (ALP) tablets. We postulated the following effects of ALP poisoning that would have increased the chances of mucormycosis in this patient: 1) Metabolic acidosis; 2) Acute Kidney Injury (AKI); and 3) Liberation of free oxygen radicals.
