%X Metaphors have always played a role in the medical tradition and in dermatology too. Beyond their initially playful aspect, metaphors offer a way of rapidly identifying a lesion and of linking it to one or more diseases. They also play a role in the education of medical students and residents by making it easier to memorise different diseases. Herein we discuss "animal" metaphors.
