Abstract：
UNASSIGNED: Portal venous thrombosis (PVT) is an uncommon clinical problem and is rare following cholecystectomy. This article describes a patient who developed PVT after an initially uneventful laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The patient was successfully treated with IV antibiotics and anticoagulation.
